My friend Ani Antreasyan is an "accessorator's" dream!!!

She is a fabulous "garden guru" and the purveyor of all things "accessoration" .....
from antique stone Turkish garden pieces to 1950's tables & chairs ...
and all things in between!!!

Part of her collection can be seen this weekend at the Bridgehampton Antique Show at the Community Center ...... where her booth is an eclectic mix of the most stunning design elements and the way they are "put-together" is an inspiration for all "design divas!!!"

This is my PERFECT find from the NY Gift Show .......... child size chairs by the design icons of the 20th Century!!!!!! Imagine a baby 1956 Eames lounge, a tot's 1958 Egg Chair by Arne Jacobsen, or Mies Van Der Rohe's 1927 Barcelona chair in mini ........... and that's just the beginning!!!!!!! This collection is available from the Australian company, Little Nest. The brainchild of Samantha Firestone, it is now distributed in the U.S. by Los Angeles representative Karen Alweil Studio.

These designer's are the best of this century, the most influential and exceptionall!!!!! But, the idea of creating these iconic designs in miniature is over-the -top ...... a giant WOW!!!

I was visiting two of my "tastiest and chicest" friends this past weekend ......  and I fell madly in love with this divine chandelier!!!!! It was designed by world-famous Venetian designer Gino Sarfatti for his company Arteluce, started in the early 1940's, it became the international reference point for the "modern architectural movement" in lighting. Sarfatti designed and produced over 400 amazing lighting designs over a thirty year period. His company, the foremost of the era, was innovative in materials, production, technologies, light sources, technical lighting effects, and design aspects. Movement was an important element in his designs; standing lamps and wall mounted lights, frequently incorporated articulated metal arms, often in brass. Sarfatti designed all forms of lighting ...... chandeliers, floor lamps, wall lamps, table lamps, and sconces ....... usually including metals in his pieces.

And, it is important to remember Sarfatti often incorporated color without fear .... the sign of a true "accessorator"!!!!!!!!!

Zoe Murphy is a "bright young thing" in the London design community. Her work is at Liberty and she exhibited for the first time at 'Content' in Tent London, during the Design Festival. Zoe's passion is "the potential of re-use and rejuvenation of unwanted items, working closely with the idea of encouraging others to consume more carefully and with more responsibility."  Currently her collection, titled "Loving What Belongs To You," revolves around reclaimed mid-century pieces that she has "re-dressed with pattern and color." Bureaus, tables, end tables, chairs, etc. have been re-veneered and treated to a palette of bright colors and graceful images. In addition, the theme of 're-use" continues with the silk textiles Zoe uses for her collection of pillows...they were once wedding dresses!!! The recycled silk textiles have been lovingly hand dyed and printed upon, making them look charming and feel nostalgic.

"As well as having designed a range that is visually appealing, my work is also ethically strong and offers a more ecological alternative to the 'throw away' designs of today."

This inspired collection is very much the aesthetic that I love.....of course....and it would look amazing with the other divine English pieces I own!!!!! I expect it might be on a boat, "crossing the pond"!!!!

Another stunning "accessoration" from the land of the "great accessorators"!!!!

For as far back as I can remember, my desk of choice has always been my dinning room table!!! Sitting here, I am surrounded by files, magazine "tear-outs", pens & pencils, and a variety of scraps of paper, all covered with illegible notes!! Sometimes, I think that I would be thrilled to finally have a real "desk!!!"  If this dream desk were to become a reality, I would adore having this fixture from French designer, Pierre Guariche, to light it. This wall light, designed in the 1950's, is painted metal & brass, and that is black, white and grey. When I saw it at the Gallerie Perimeter in Paris, I felt an immediate rush of love!!! This is my favorite furniture gallerie in Paris, the focus is on mid-century French industrial furniture design. In addition, they are as creating a portfolio of edition pieces designed by today's leading European furniture designers. A"go-to" gallerie on any trip to Paris.....but please leave this fixture for me!!!!

Danish furniture designer Peter Hvidt designed this unique stable for France & Sons in the 1950's.  Cut into six segments, this mid- century 51 1/2" diameter circular teakwood coffee table can be reconfigured into a variety of shapes. With three brass legs, each segment becomes six individual tables. This table from J.Lohmann Gallery, is in excellent condition and was one of the best pieces in the EH Antique show this past weekend.
