Chairs don't just call to me.....they scream my name!!!

I am a "chair freak".....it is just another thing that I am and I accept it!!! I received a lovely email from English designer, Melanie Porter.....who, like me, has moved from the world of fashion to the land of interior design! Melanie has gone from designing knitwear in London, to creating a collection of bespoke furniture. Bespoke, by the way, is the English word for unique or one of a kind. She has collected an array of vintage chairs, which she strips back to the frame, restores & refinishes....and reupholsters with hand knitted,felted panels that are designed especially for each chair. I think her designs look wonderful and am so glad that I am here in NYC, and not London....as I am sure one of these "reclaimed beauties" would be making it's way to my house!!!!!
