World renown Japanese architect Shigeru Ban collaborated
with Hermés, to create the fantastic .....
"La Maison Hermés"!!!!
The "house" was designed to exhibit the new Hermés
furniture, fabric, & wallpaper collections.
The architect started with a wood frame that supports
paper tubes, that are used to create walls.
Paper was then woven through the tubing, enclosing
the walls and creating "rooms."
There are no nails, instead pegs are used
to assemble the structure.
The "maison" can be taken down .....
and reconstructed, anywhere!!!
But, I can't imagine the installation looking more fabulous
than it did, in this centuries old palazzo .....
in Milan!!!
