I returned to Carla Sozzani's
10 Corso Como last week 
during Milan's design extravaganza ....
& was again awed by the extraordinary talent of 
artist/designer Chris Ruhs!!!

This time I climbed the circular staircase 
above the gallery .....
to find this brilliant roof garden!!!

There was so much to see.....
murals, planters, furniture, mosaics, all things "art" .....
plus the spectacular garden folly!!!

It is the "ultimate accessoration of accessorations"!!!! 

Zigzagging .... Brakes Rules & Multiplies Possibilities!

The quirky Spanish shoe company 
has a worldwide collection of retail stores, 
each unique, they are designed by renown 
international 
contemporary designers
& they are springing-up everywhere!!!!

I have seen incredible stores designed by 
& the Bouroullec Brothers ....
but, right now I am totally enthralled by this 
divine store in NYC!!! 
 
Located on Madison Avenue, across from Barneys, 
this spectacular NYC store is the creation of
the brilliant Brazilian design duo the

Handcrafted in Brazil the walls, window display, 
seating, & lighting is crafted of 
woven natural fibers ....
evoking a strong sense of the rainforest. 

The "transplastic" seating, considered a metaphor for 
the world of natural vs. synthetic,
is a recycled collection of
plastic chairs & tables that appear to be 
"growing" through the wicker.

This store is a Madison Avenue "must-see"!!!

Unfortunately, I can't tell you anything about the shoes ....
I was held captive by the environment!!!!

A little something to keep you warm!!!!

Think a weekend in Miami .... 
and a fantastic shopping spree at 
on "hip & happening"
Lincoln Road in South Beach!!!

And remember this sublimely curated collection 
of designer apparel & accessories 
is set in a glass & mirror 1800-square-foot 
transparent box
on the fifth floor of a parking garage!!! 

Not just any car park ....
but an amazing concrete "sculpture"
design by the dynamic Swiss architectural duo

Of course, my quirky eye was over-obsessed by the 
"outdoor furniture" around the store!!!

I was told the pieces were made from 
"left-over wood from the construction of the building,"
& they were designed by 
Herzog & de Meuron's design team!!!

"Accessoration's sublime" ......
Wouldn't you love them on your NYC terrace!!!!

is an over-the-top "retail accessorator supreme," 
& I never miss an opportunity to visit 
her spectacular Miami shopping mecca ......

Last week I flipped over these chic, chic, chic 
Fornasetti candles ...
& I must admit I bought them all!!!

And, they are on their way to Beirut with me .....
right now!!!

I think they will be tasty hostess gifts 
for the divine & delightful,
who have invited us to fancy, fabulous, & fun
holiday lunches & dinners!!!

Barneys NYC seems to be on my mind this week!!!

I'm wild about The Fashion Chef & apparently so is Barneys!!!

Charlotte Neuville has taken her creative genius 
from clothes to cakes
& Barneys is the place to find these 
gorgeous "2012 Electric Holiday" goodies!!!

This is one of those sad & sorrowful stories .....
that has a fabulous ending!!!

Every "accessorator supreme" knows that Christmas 2012
is all about the "fashionable collaboration" 
between Barneys & the Walt Disney Company ...

Well, I have been waiting breathlessly to get my hands on
the delightful & divine 
featured in Barneys holiday ads!!!

Sooooo, I raced uptown to Barneys last Thursday,
ahead of the crowds .... I thought,
but low & behold I was told they was gone!!!

"Impossible" I said ...
"No" said the charming salesman ...
"What happened???" I moaned!!!
"They've all been recalled" he announced!!!
"WHAT????"
"Yep, the ears fell off!!!!"

I was désole .... 
I rushed downstairs, out the door,
grabbed my Iphone, 
& called my fabulous fashion friend WR in disbelief!!!

"Breath deeply"he said ...
"We'll discuss it tonight at dinner!!"

So, I sadly trugged home .....
beyond bereft!!!

7PM brought a knock on the door .....
the divine and dapper WR & MK  arrived for dinner
with GUESS WHAT???
The impossible .... MY SNOW GLOBE!!!!

The moral of the story is ...
"Fabulous Fashion Friends" are a "must-have" ...
especially with a great Rolladex!!!

Isn't it divine .....
"Hey, don' t touch the ears!!!!"

Sebastian Errazuriz Creates "Relief Accessoration"!!!

Like most New Yorkers ....
Hurricane Sandy has left me speechless!!!

My house is fine, my lights & water back on,
still no internet .....
but, that's nothing to complain about!!!

I don't live in Staten Island, Breezy Point, or New Jersey ...
And my home nor my business is destroyed!!!

But, my heart goes out to everyone
not as lucky as I am,
especially my partner Carla & her partner's Richard & Glenn
owners of CRG Gallery,
who lost 26 years of hard work!!!

I'm not sure what to do .....
but I had to share this brilliant project created by  

Errazuriz, inspired by the water lines  
left on the walls of the flooded galleries 
in NYC's Chelsea art district,
hand dipped these classic NYC souvenir tees 
to raise much-needed money for hurricane relief efforts!!!

My personal "accessoration supreme" is 
my signature white shirt!!! 

I have six fresh shirts made every year, 
thanks to shirtmaker Ascot Chang,
but, the original was a Martin Margiela shirt
I bought decades ago in LA
at  Maxfield!!!!!

So ..... when I saw Frédérique Chauveau's sublime 
"white shirt installation"
at the launch party for the collaboration between
Maison Martin Margiela  and H&M .....
I flipped!!!!

Isn't it amazing ..... 
all the things that can happen in a white shirt!!!!

The talk of the "fashion universe" was last night's 
extraordinarily fabulous launch of the collaboration between
fashion genius Maison Martin Margiela 
& international retail giant H&M!!!

The clothes & accessories (available Nov 15 @ H&M) are divine,
but I absolutely adored & was overwhelmed by
the spectacular "over-the-top" inventive & exciting
installation of the merchandise
in the  most incredible location in NYC...
a "decayed urban treasure" that has been
abandoned for over a decade, 
and is spectacular!!!
 
In this case my pictures are worth ten thousand words!!!

Incredible "accessoration" ..... don't you agree!!!

Lanvin's delightful designer Alber Elbaz's collaboration
with the sublime French patisserie Ladurée
is the "tastiest accessoration"
of 2012!!!!

Whimsical sketches of "French Femmes" by Alber
cover a white Ladurée box,
tied with bright red grosgrain ribbon,
plus eight pink bubble-gum flavored macarons ....
make this the chicest hostess gift yet!!!

for this yummie treasure ....

I adore a good Missoni pattern ...
& my favorite flame stitch is definitely on trend!!!

But, the collaboration between 
is deliciously,decadently, divine!!!

Unfortunately ...
I can't find 'em anywhere ....

Some things are just unexplainable!!!

Like ..... 
why in the world was I fascinated by 
these Margiela boots???

Was it the glamorously chic Russian woman 
who was wearing them???

Was it the fact that she was charming,
chatty, & lived in London???

Was it the fact that she let me 
photograph her feet???

Or was it her sublime pedicure???

I think it's all of the above ....
 plus
the see-thru boots, with the lucite heels 
are seriously fabulous too!!!

All in all ..... a sublime
"over-the-top" 
Brazilian accessoration!!!

I adored seeing the majestic
all "wrapped-up" in it's divine signature 
lavender ribbon .....
celebrating 111 years of "fabulousness"!!!

I was "over-indulging" myself in art 
in Brazil & missed this
"over- the-top accessoration"!!!
