Retuning from NYC's fashion world to 
LA's design world....
Los Angeles native Scotti Sitz 
opened GARDE at 7418 Beverly Boulevard
last March!!!

Influenced by her time at 
Calvin Klein & Giorgio Armani
Sitz's aesthetic is "clean & modern"!!!

She infuses the store with a primarily neutral color palette,
from taupe & stone to grey & greige ..... 
plus a selection of dark indigo solids, 
stripes & patterns.
. 
Buying only what she "loves" .......
this store raises the bar for 
"chic & contemporary style" in LA!!! 

A fabulous "accessorator" find in LA last month .....
& a real LA "must-shop"!!!!

from outside to in!!!

travel for one month every year, 
to countries that have included Afghanistan, 
Mexico, India, Vietnam, Peru, & Brazil,
filling their store with an international blend of
eclectic & inviting "goodies."

The collection includes an extraordinary assortment of 
textiles & tapestries, decorative pillows, ceramics, 
glassware, jewelry, soaps, toys,
and divine "potions, lotions, & oils," 
that soothe both body & soul!!!

The mix of products celebrate handcrafted items 
from artisan & artists worldwide, 
often focusing on
"equitable & sustainable environments."

is definitely a fantastic addition to 
the accessorator's "must-see" shopping guide!!!!

My "accessorator heart" is broken ....
my friends Murray Moss & Franklin Getchell 
are closing their
world renown design mecca,
Moss!!!!

But not before presenting this fabulous 
exhibition of stunning jewelry, 
by the divine Italian designer .......

Mixing silver with enamel, pearls, crystals,
& unusual stones  ........ 
these one-off necklaces, bracelets, earrings, & rings ....
are an "accessorator's dream"!!!

And ..... the installation is Murray at his best!!!
Upside down wine glasses, overflowing with beads ....
over-sized antique glass domes with chunky bracelets inside ...
plastic ring trays from the Container Store ....
all creating a 2012 "dressing table" ....
in "hi/low style"!!!!!!!

Murray is an "accessorator supreme"!!!!
Soho will miss his eponymous store, 
but, we'll still have the fabulous 

And, Murray will be off in the world ......
finding the latest international design talents,
consulting with the museums of the world,
educating young design students to "open their eyes,"
& teaching companies throughout the world ....
what good design is!!!!

Bravo Murray & Franklin ..
it was a great run ....
On to the next chapter!!!

And remember M&F ....
the Friday after Thanksgiving, 
we have a date .....
AND IT'S NOT TO GO SHOPPING!!!

I adore the work of English designer
& have been a major "groupie" for several years.

Her recent nomination, in two categories, 
for Designer of the Year 
by London's Design Museum is well deserved!!!

Bethan is nominated in the furniture category for her 
laminated marquetry furniture collection 
"MOON ROCK, created exclusively for Milan's 
This series is inspired by "craters of the moon 
& the composition of the solar system." 

In addition, these spectacular patterns 
inspired the stunning textiles 
that made Bethan a beguiling, walking "lunar landscape" 
during the  Milan Furniture Fair!!!

Bethan's jewelry collection "PARTICLE" ...... 
which I was lucky enough to see at the "Composite" show 
during London Design Week ....... 
began as a way to salvage the "leftover bits"
from her "PARTICLE" furniture series. 
It has expanded to an extensive 
collection of stunning bracelets & necklaces!!! 

Bethan's work is included in the 
"Designers of the Year 2012" exhibition, opening 
tomorrow at London's Design Museum!!!!

This is a "must see" exhibition for all 
dedicated "accessorators"!!!

 These divine watches are only $18 each @ Amen Wardy Aspen .....
& I know everybody on my list will want more than one!!!!

Available in 30 colors, they are battery operated, plastic & faux diamond ......
& are awfully similar to Kaiser Karl's fabooolous designer watch!!!
The only thing missing is the C----L logo!!!!

And I love Amen's idea .... 
use them as napkin rings ..... they make a perfect party favor!!!

My travel companion, volcano co-survivor, and good friend SDE ..... the chicest, tastiest,
and most accessorized woman I know ........ took me on a
Soho crawl last week ...... and she introduced me to 
an "accessorator's dream"!!!!!! 

On Prince & Mercer Streets, in front of J.CREW ......sitting behind a very long table, probably made from a wooden plank and a pair of saw-horses, covered with a white cloth ........ sat Kristine, a 9 month pregnant "fashionista"!!!!! Spread before her was the most outrageous, incredible, over-the-top collection of leather wrap bracelets in the world ....... every color imaginable ........ with closures of stainless steel, gold plate, and gold plate oxidized bronze ........ an "accessoration" supreme!!!!! 

This F.I.T graduate and soon-to-be mother of two has been "working this block" for 8 years. She doesn't believe in trends ...... though she is definitely on trend at the moment .... leather is her passion and she never deviates!!!! She told me "I wear it and I believe in it, I never switch, not in 8 years." Her mantra is .... "If you don't know what you're looking at your not my customer!!!!" 

According to Kristine, "they" come from all over ..... men & women .... chic "accessorators," hip trendsetters, as well "uptownies's" who wear her jewelry to "funk-up" their Hermes look .... and  as she says.....they always come back for more!!!!!! I know I will!!!!!
