I adored my visit to Dallas ....
I saw sooooo much fabulous art & incredible design ....
I went into a spin!!!

I flipped over everything in this house ...
it's owner is an over-the-moon
"accessorator supreme"!!!

But, I can't get this sublime dinning room
out of my mind!!!
These fabulous vintage textiles
pieced into these sublime "table-mats"
are brilliant!!!

I imagined all the textiles in my closet ....
incredible African cloth remnants,
fantastic ikat fabrics,
& the vintage quilt pieces sitting
on the top shelf!!!
WOW .... I'm off to the seamstress now!!!

And the chairs are spectacular too!!!!

Spanish industrial designer Alvaro Catalan de Ocon
worked with displaced Columbian craftsmen,
to recycle plastic waste
that is polluting the Amazon River.

The collaboration resulted in the creation
of this divine light fixtures ....

The shades are woven by artisans
over recycled plastic bottles,
& are then sent to Madrid
to be made into stunning light fixtures!!!

This fixture "accessoration supreme"
was hanging in the garden at
in Milan!!!

Benches are a "hot trend" this spring ......
& I especially adore this brilliant "do-it-yourself" group
that were "hanging around" the Lambrate

Genius isn't it .....
especially the nice touch of neon orange,
another 2013 trend!!!

There is nothing is more glamorous than a
Baccarat crystal chandelier .....
except one that is designed by internationally renown
Brazilian design gurus

Mixing bamboo branches, plaited wicker
& other natural fibers
with the most world's finest crystal
is lighting genius!!!

A fabulous "accessoration divine"
& a sublime example of "high/low design,"
created by the originators of this design trend!!!

I returned to Carla Sozzani's
10 Corso Como last week
during Milan's design extravaganza ....
& was again awed by the extraordinary talent of
artist/designer Chris Ruhs!!!

This time I climbed the circular staircase
above the gallery .....
to find this brilliant roof garden!!!

There was so much to see.....
murals, planters, furniture, mosaics, all things "art" .....
plus the spectacular garden folly!!!

It is the "ultimate accessoration of accessorations"!!!!

Love Milan Design Week ....
everything looks like an "accessoration supreme"!!!!

This is a sublime updated "fence accessoration,"
that would be absolutely fabulous
in East Hampton!!!

Sometimes Milan Design Week can feel like a secret society ....
especially for me!!!

But, standing in front of "design guru"
new Tortona office/studio
I immediately sensed this wasn't a random
collection of oil drums!!!

I knew this was a very specific "Navone-blue" installation,
thought-out with great detail
by the "accessorator supreme" herself!!!

WOW, I realized I had finally broken
the secret "design code" ....
& maybe I'm really part of this "design thing"!!!

exhibited
a collection of the work of furniture dealer/artist
at Design/Miami 2012.

The installation created by gallery owner
a great friend & collector of Loughlin's work,
celebrated the legendary artist.

A dealer since the 60's, Loughlin began painting
his signature motifs on
"found" recycled furniture" .....
picked-up at flea markets & thrift stores
in the 80's.

His quirky signature motifs included ...
a man with a cigarette,
Zippo lighters & other thematic emblems
of the times.

Johnson has also published a book titled
featuring his collection of furniture
with Loughlin's iconic imagery.

I adored the pieces but,
had a special response to the mirror,
which has a logo sticker with the Greek letters
of my college sorority ...
Sigma Delta Tau!!!

Very 1960's ....
now considered very vintage!!!

A little something to keep you warm!!!!

Think a weekend in Miami ....
and a fantastic shopping spree at
on "hip & happening"
Lincoln Road in South Beach!!!

And remember this sublimely curated collection
of designer apparel & accessories
is set in a glass & mirror 1800-square-foot
transparent box
on the fifth floor of a parking garage!!!

Not just any car park ....
but an amazing concrete "sculpture"
design by the dynamic Swiss architectural duo

Of course, my quirky eye was over-obsessed by the
"outdoor furniture" around the store!!!

I was told the pieces were made from
"left-over wood from the construction of the building,"
& they were designed by
Herzog & de Meuron's design team!!!

"Accessoration's sublime" ......
Wouldn't you love them on your NYC terrace!!!!

              A major theme at Design/Miami 2012 is nature ....
& the work of these designers
are significant examples of this design trend!!!

Aren't these pieces fantastic ....
Guess which piece I'm hoping will surprise me
& be under my Christmas tree!!!

I'm back ......
And I saw sooooo many fabulous things in Brazil .....
I'm not even sure where to start!!!

Sao Paulo's
featured an installation of 50
"re-accessorated"
Arne Jacobsen classic Egg chairs,
"reupholstered" by Copenhagen-based,
Israeli artist

The chairs were divine ....
but unfortunately they weren't for sale!!!

My absolute favorite "accessorations" are pillows ....
& I found this spectacular selection at the
on Howard Street in Soho!!!

This stunning collection of pillows,
created from handmade custom contemporary rugs,
makes this a new "must-shop"
accessoration mecca!!!

And the selection is constantly changing!!!

I adore Italian designer
"Moderni Fossili" collection!!!

These "contemporary fossils"
are created with recycled, found plastic objects
that are set into polyurethane foam.

After solidifying, the foam is cut
& used to create a variety of furniture,
including tables, lights, bookcases, & screens.

Available at Spazio Rossana Orlandi in Milan
Moss in New York City,
these pieces are ....
"innovative & exceptional accessorations"!!!

NYC designer
created this stunning collection of
"Clamp Lights" sold exclusively
at the divine NYC design emporium/gallery ......

Lindsey sources industrial vintage clamps,
brass plates them,
and lead glass blower
blows the molten glass into forms that
naturally "slump" into these bulb-like shapes ....
and the clamps are then attached
as the glass cools!!!

The fixtures are spectacular ....
whether in a group or individually,
they are absolutely an "accessoration supreme"
and an "accessorator must-have"!!!
