Newest High Line Billboard by Allen Ruppersberg!!!

I am madly in love with conceptual artist 
poetic billboard "You & Me" .....
the latest site-specific installation of NYC's

Ruppersberg's work often features 
appropriated colorful posters,
found around Los Angles,
that promote neighborhood events.

This particular piece is a unique scale,
the billboard is 25' x 75',
& incorporates various configurations 
of the words "You & Me" 
creating Ruppersberg's poetic narrative .

Cecilia Alemani, Curator & Director of
High Line Art writes ....
"For High Line Billboard, Ruppersberg creates 
a conversational poem 
set against the skyline of the city.
It's like an advertisement gone crazy!"

exhibited 
a collection of the work of furniture dealer/artist
at Design/Miami 2012.
 
The installation created by gallery owner
a great friend & collector of Loughlin's work,
celebrated the legendary artist.

A dealer since the 60's, Loughlin began painting
his signature motifs on 
"found" recycled furniture" .....
picked-up at flea markets & thrift stores
in the 80's. 
 
His quirky signature motifs included ...
a man with a cigarette, 
Zippo lighters & other thematic emblems 
of the times.
 
Johnson has also published a book titled
featuring his collection of furniture 
with Loughlin's iconic imagery.
 
I adored the pieces but,
 had a special response to the mirror,
which has a logo sticker with the Greek letters 
of my college sorority ...
Sigma Delta Tau!!!
 
Very 1960's ....
now considered very vintage!!!

Glasgow-based artist
has created the newest High Line Billboard .....
"How Do You Feel?"

This latest Friends of the High Line commission 
asks the ultimate question!!!

And Shrigley's messy, scrawling answer is
brutally honest & accurate ....
"standing as a reminder of our fears, insecurities, & paranoia, 
which are so familiar to our contemporary culture."

This really fabulous"street accessoration" ...
is getting loads of attention,  
and resonates with every New Yorker I know!!!

is a major "must-stop" on the international design map!!!!
